DR. Lori Stage
DR. LORI's Hate Antiques? Comedy Tour - coming to Louisville

Customers to the Trend Appliances Home, Garden & Remodeling Show are welcome to bring one item per person,
per day, for a free appraisal from Dr. Lori.

Do you hate art and antiques? Do you know someone who buys antiques and you think that stuff is just plain ugly, just cluttering up the house? Have you ever dreamed about paying for your next home remodeling or garden landscaping project with your spouse’s antique junk? Bring your antiques and your troubled friends with their stuff to Dr. Lori for a much needed intervention!

Attend Dr. Lori’s “Hate Antiques?” comedy sessions on March 5-7, 2010 at the Kentucky Expo Center located in Louisville, KY at the junction of I-65 and I-264 and laugh with your friend or spouse about their “collection of clutter”. Free antiques appraisals will be available with admission to the Home, Garden & remodeling show as part of Dr. Lori’s daily sessions. As seen on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and the Fine Living Network, nationally known and funny art and antiques appraiser, syndicated columnist and award winning TV personality and talk show host, Dr. Lori will pull no punches evaluating your friends' or spouse's flea market addictions and sentimental family objects as she makes you all laugh about your junk.

Dr. Lori says, "You'll laugh out loud while learning about your antiques, your friends and even your spouse at my event! I'm not an antique dealer, reseller, or affiliated with any auction house and my evaluations are straight forward and honest. I will not hesitate to tell your friend or spouse that their compulsion for buying and saving items is a sickness, just adding to the clutter.

As seen on Comedy Central's The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and the Fine Living Network, Dr. Lori is an award-winning TV personality and TV talk show host seen on NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX. She is a regular expert guest on the nationally syndicated morning show Daytime and holds the Ph.D. in art history. Dr. Lori's columns about antiques, travel, and home and garden design are read across the country in more than 84 publications reaching more than 8 million readers monthly. She is also an editor of several lifestyle magazines and an author with 30 books to her credit. A certified fine art and antiques appraiser, Dr. Lori is the director of www.DrLoriV.com. Presenting more than 100 events every year and conducting in-home appraisal visits, Dr. Lori evaluates approximately 20,000 items a year. During her personal appearances and popular antiques themed vacation cruises, Dr. Lori makes people laugh with her straight forward and honest approach.

Sustainable City
Think Green in the Sustainable City

SUSTAINABLE CITY- The Energy Pros Sustainable City was introduced to the show two years ago. Attendees flocked to the exhibit area to learn about the wide array of green products that can help homeowners save money on energy consumption. This year, the Sustainable City is over 2,000 square feet, displaying an impressive variety of high quality, long-lasting, healthy, earth friendly products and services that are easy to put to use and that are surprisingly affordable. National and area experts will be eager to share their suggestions for creating a healthier and more ecofriendly home, yard, life and community. Demonstrations of diagnostic equipment and interactive displays, including a thermography scan camera that shows how heat transfers through products will illustrate how technology and innovative design have coalesced to improve the quality of our lives. You’ll learn how much money you’ll save by investing in energy efficient products and what steps you can take to make your home run more efficiently.

Dare to Care

The Trend Appliances Home, Garden and Remodeling Show have partnered with Dare to Care Food Bank this year to support the fight against hunger in our community.  Dare to Care Food Bank has been a pillar in Kentuckiana for over 40 years, feeding our neighbors in need.

Attendees of the Trend Appliances Home, Garden and Remodeling Show, March 5-7 at the Kentucky Expo Center, will have the opportunity to show their support of Dare to Care Food Bank by purchasing a $5.00 raffle ticket to win one of two GE Profile refrigerators.  All of the proceeds from this “Fill the Fridge” raffle will go directly to Dare to Care Food Bank, and will help people in our own community.

Guests will also have the opportunity to view several cooking demonstrations on the Trend Appliance cooking stage, where Dare to Care staff will share information about their programs as well as healthy options for every family.  Dare to Care’s Fill the Fridge promotion is sponsored by GE and the Home Builders Association of Louisville.

Also, don’t miss the “can-art” exhibit produced by Dare to Care featured in their booth space 2534.

Builder Developer Blvd.

The Builder-Developer Blvd. is a new feature to the Trend Appliances Home, Garden & Remodeling Show this year.  This new feature will give the consumers the opportunity to literally visit a number of subdivisions without driving all around town.

If you are looking to build but have yet to select a builder you can take advantage of this convenient opportunity to meet builders and view new homes already on the market.

This is also a great time to learn more about the tax credit opportunities you can take advantage of prior to April 30, 2010 (Federal $8,000 & $6,500) and July 26, 2010 (State up to $5,000).
